India

The home of Taj Mahal, one of the seven modern wonders of the world, India is the second most populous country in the world and the 7th largest in area-wise. It is the spiritual land that has begotten many sages, philosophers and genius. India is home to lots of religions and is secular by nature It might be easy to understand if I say " Hindu country- Bhagawat Gita"

When anyone thinks of India, it is hard to escape thinking about the Father of the Nation, or in other word one of the ideal politician of the world who has inspired many people like Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela. India attained independence on August 15, 1947 from the British (a day after Pakistan's split from the Indian Union). The Indian flag is a tri-colored one (saffron, white and green) with an Ashoka chakra (24 spokes representing the 24 hours of the day). This flag is a curled one with writing of "Mera Bharat Mahan means my great India" below the flag.
