This trek retraces the route taken by the old mountaineering expeditions to Everest. We drive to the village of Jiri on the road which branches off to the east from the highway to Tibet. From Jiri, the trail heads east winding up and down forested slopes, pastures and villages inhabited by various ethnic groups. Entering the Dudh Koshi river valley, we turn north and follow the river upstream to Monjo and on to Namche Bazaar in the Sherpa heartland. We continue trekking sharing the trail with yak caravans passing Tyangboche monastery and on to Pheriche across alpine meadows above the tree line. We are in very high country now and the route continues along the Khumbu glacier to Gorakshep. The summit of Kalapatthar (5,545 m) is a steep ascent and provides the best vantage point to view Everest. The vista of the tallest mountain on earth from here is awe-inspiring. We walk back to Lukla and then fly to Kathmandu.
Day 02: Fly to LUA.Then trek to Phakding.
Day 03: TREK TO NAMCHE.
Day 04: Namche for aclamatization.
Day 05: Trek to Fungitanga.
Day 06: Trek to Thyanboche.
Day 07: Trek to Somare.
Day 08: Trek to Dinboche.
Day 09: Dingboche for aclamatization.
Day 10: Trek to Lobuche.
Day 11: Go to Kalapather and Back to Lobuche
Day 12: Trek Down to Pangboche.
Day 13: Trek Down to Kyanjuma.
Day 14: Trek down to Monjo via Namche.
Day 15: Trek to Lukla.
Day 16: Fly back to KTM.
Day 17: Kathmandu.
Day 18: Se to Airport.
